For the Frederick Tweetup in October I think the best place to start the Pub Crawl is at the Hard Times for several reasons: it’s a large place, the food is reasonably priced, lots of alcohol, pool tables and live music on Fridays.
We can hang out there for awhile, get to know each other, pound down some drinks, play some pool and just have a good time. If after awhile we want to check out another spot we can play it by ear and head down the street. It’s still early, so I really haven’t figured out where we will go.
Our committee is forming as we go along. Right now it’s made up of @AComicTragedy, @dosesofneurosis, @tamytoo2 and me @NowAPisces.
The Best Western is the closest hotel to downtown Frederick and they are offering Group Rates of $80 a night.
If you fly in and are not renting a car, no problem. We’ll take care of you. Just give us plenty of notice and we’ll get you to Frederick and you can ride with several of us. I will have my car and can handle 4 passengers comfortably.
We are getting people from all over the country indicating they will be coming. We may even have a surprise guest from Australia.
I can’t wait for this to happen.
